Clinical Counseling Intern
Taylor is in her final year of the Master’s in Clinical Counseling program at Chestnut Hill College and is currently completing her clinical internship at Yaqub Counseling Services.
Taylor works with young adults, adults, and older adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. She values creating a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences openly, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and work toward meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, Taylor enjoys expressing her creativity through crocheting and embroidery. She also enjoys reading and gardening when the weather is nice.
Taylor provides reduced-fee and no-cost therapy services under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
Prior to her clinical internship, Taylor worked as a mental health caseworker in the Lehigh Valley, where she developed extensive knowledge of local mental health services, community resources, and systems of support.
Her experience in community mental health has strengthened her understanding of the challenges individuals may face both inside and outside of the therapy room. She brings this perspective into her clinical work and tailors treatment to the individual needs, experiences, and goals of each client.
Taylor is currently completing the clinical training requirements for her master’s degree at Chestnut Hill College while providing counseling services at Yaqub Counseling Services under clinical supervision.
Taylor utilizes a psychodynamic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative approach to therapy. She believes that understanding past experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns can provide valuable insight into the challenges clients experience in the present.
Her therapeutic approaches include:
A strong therapeutic relationship is central to Taylor’s work. She strives to provide a safe and open environment that encourages honesty, authenticity, and connection, while helping clients develop greater insight and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.
