Claire Rybak

Introducing the Provider

Hi! I’m Claire Rybak, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), at Yaqub Counseling Services in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

My goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful growth and change.

Professional Experience

Claire has experience working with clients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, including children, adults, and older adults; along with LGBTQIA+-affirming care. Claire has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression and other mood concerns, ADHD, PTSD, disordered eating, and challenges involving family and relationship functioning.

Claire believes that seeking support is a sign of strength, and she wants her clients to feel that therapy is a collaborative process where their experiences, goals, and strengths are valued.

Therapeutic Approach

Claire integrates evidence-based approaches based on each client’s individual needs, goals, and experiences.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Identifying and changing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – Building psychological flexibility while helping clients move toward what matters most to them.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – Developing practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationships.
  • Person-Centered Therapy – Creating a compassionate and collaborative environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood.
  • Trauma-Informed Care – Prioritizing safety, choice, trust, and empowerment while recognizing the impact of past experiences.
