Our Clinical Training Program provides graduate-level counseling and social work students with meaningful practicum and internship experiences, intentional supervision, and opportunities to develop confidence and professional identity as emerging clinicians.

The Training Experience

More Than

Clinical Hours.

Becoming a strong therapist is about more than completing the hours required for graduation.

It’s about learning how to sit with uncertainty, build meaningful therapeutic relationships, think critically about clinical decisions, and gradually develop confidence in your own voice as a clinician.

At Yaqub Counseling, our practicum and internship students are welcomed as developing professionals and valued members of our clinical team. Through hands-on experience, intentional supervision, and opportunities for reflection, we help trainees bridge the gap between what they learn in the classroom and who they become in the therapy room.

Our Goal: You leave your placement with more than a completed hour log. You leave with stronger clinical judgment, greater confidence, and a clearer sense of the clinician you want to become.
